COMUNICADO URGENTE (abajo en ingles)
Para el día de mañana, 3 de octubre, fue citado a una nueva audiencia, Aureliano Molina Villanueva, integrante del COPINH, en el Juzgado Primero de letras de Intibucá.
El objetivo de la citación es cambiar las medidas sustitutivas por prisión preventiva, castigándolo asi por haber viajado junto a Nora Cortiñas, Madre de Plaza de Mayo Línea Fundadora, hasta Río Blanco, donde participaron de una misa junto a la comunidad.En ningún momento, los sacerdotes que dieron esa misa, ni la delegación internacional en la que participó Nora Cortiñas, se acercó al lugar de los hechos por los que están acusados los dirigentes del COPINH.
Entendemos que esta citación, y la búsqueda de prisión, es un nuevo momento de agresión al COPINH, y de judicialización de sus luchas.
Rechazamos esta medida, y nos indigna que no se permita a un pueblo, a una comunidad en lucha, y a sus dirigentes, celebrar una misa para pedir por la pacificación de la región.
El COPINH llama a sostener la solidaridad con Berta Cáceres, Tomás Membreño, y en este caso, a evitar que se dicte prisión a Aureliano Molina.

Tomorrow, October 3, Aureliano Molina Villanueva, member of COPINH, has been summoned to a new hearing in the First Court of Intibucá.
The
purpose of the summons is to change the alternative measures to
imprisonment for prison detention, thus punishing him for traveling with
Nora Cortiñas, founding member of the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo in
Argentina, to Rio Blanco where they participated in a Mass with the
community.
At
no time did the priests who celebrated the Mass, nor the international
delegation which included Nora Cortiñas, approach the location where the
acts that the COPINH leaders are accused of are said to have occurred.
We
understand that this summons and the quest for imprisonment is a new
moment of aggression against COPINH and the criminalization of its
struggle.
We reject this measure and are outraged that does not allow a community in struggle and its leaders to celebrate a Mass to pray for peace in the region.
COPINH calls for sustained solidarity with Berta Cáceres, Thomas Membreño, and in this case, to avoid sending Aureliano Molina to prison.
We say that we will continue to mobilize and fight, with dignity.
